Causes and Symptoms
Causes of PE
The causative factors of premature ejaculation are many. In a majority of cases, it can be caused by a plethora of physiological and mental triggers. Premature ejaculation is often caused by PC muscles that are weak, exercises over time can easily fix the issue. However, research indicates that a lot of the time, the trigger is a combination of the physical and non-physical factors (like stress), more time than not the weak muscles are the cause (as much as 73% of the time).
PE Symptoms
There are those who have attempted to make a specific definition of what qualifies as premature ejaculation and what does not. The two best known guidelines are:
- Master and Johnson suggest that a male suffers from PE if he ejaculates before his spouse orgasms more than half the time.
- Researchers has pointed out that a male suffers from PE if he ejaculates in under two minutes of penetration. A survey taken (by Alfred Kinsey in 1950s) revealed nearly 70% of men lasted less than 2 minutes.
Today the idea of PE is more subjective and depends almost entirely on each individual’s own perceptions of how happy he cam make his wife.
